I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in individual, couples and family psychotherapy and maintain a private practice in Marietta, Georgia.
With over 30 years experience as a clinician, I am a graduate of the University of Illinois with a master's degree in clinical social work. I am currently a psychotherapist working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among my areas of expertise are anxiety and stress management, depression, relationship issues, women's and men's issues, grief and loss, trauma, and life transitions. I also provide clinical supervision to psychotherapists.
In addition, I have presented at conferences and workshops to psychotherapists and to general audiences on topics ranging from stress management, divorce adjustment, single-parenting, reaction to trauma, adjustment to loss and grief, and dissociative identity disorder. I have consulted at hospitals, schools, residential treatment facilities and community agencies. I have also taught mental health related classes at the undergraduate level and have served as adjunct faculty supervising undergraduate and graduate level students.
I am a psychodynamic, interactive, solution-focused therapist. My treatment approach is to provide psychodynamic, growth oriented treatment and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. Using a collaborative approach and focusing on a person's strengths, I incorporate a blend of conventional and alternative approaches and draw upon a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client.
